SOTUS is set in a Thai university's engineering department where upperclassmen impose strict training and challenges on newcomers. Arthit, the head hazer, is known for his severe methods and expects the first-year students to prove their worth to earn the department's symbol, the gear. However, his plans are disrupted when Kongpob, an incoming student, boldly declares his intention to take the gear from him and claims he will make Arthit his wife. The story explores themes of rivalry, power dynamics, and unexpected relationships within a competitive educational environment.
