After the brutal attack by the Shikagura, the Jackalopes intensify their efforts to hunt down the Spiders. The transformation of ordinary humans into monsters haunts them, especially as many of these victims were once friends and family. Youkou struggles with his sister's fate, Akuta faces the loss of a friend, and Midari finds herself captive and tormented by a boy she tried to save.
