The Bookseller of Inverness

After the Battle of Culloden, Iain MacGillivray survives by pretending to be dead among the fallen Jacobites. Six years later, he leads a quiet life as a bookseller in Inverness. His routine is disrupted when he notices a mysterious stranger in his shop, who leaves without revealing his intentions. The next day, Iain discovers the stranger murdered in his store, with a sword bearing a white cockade beside him. As Iain gets drawn into the investigation, he must confront his past and navigate the dangers that come with it.
