Gwendy's Final Task

Gwendy Peterson, who received a mysterious box from Richard Farris at the age of twelve, faces its dangers once more as an adult. The box, which offers treats and coins but threatens death and destruction when its buttons are pressed, re-enters her life as she becomes a successful novelist and a US Senator. Now battling early symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease, Gwendy must confront powerful evil forces that want to possess the box. She is determined to protect it from those who seek its dark power, but hiding it becomes increasingly difficult.
